13th And 14th  October NEMCRC - East Fortune
Well its that time of the year again,Last meeting at east Fortune and for ourselves this season. The Club was the nemcrc and i was out in the open class with the big guys like michael robertson, torquil paterson, stuart rollo and the list could go on,But looking at the entry there was seven 250s which included Irishmen Ian Morrel and Derek McLaughlin both on Honda Rs 250s.
On Saturday i had to Work on the bike myself due to the absence of my dad until the late afternoon but big thanks to chris and pam bond, john day and the mum We Survived Well.

Qualyfing
During qualyfing it was dry so the new slicks were on and ready to go,It went well in qualyfing but i found it hard to go quick as ive not been out in ages so it took me awhile to get going,I ended up 13th overall with a time of 1:04:485 which is anout 1.4 secs slower than my quickest ever time so i knew i could go quicker,But i was the 2nd 250 on the grid Derek McLaughlin was just in front of me in 9th.

1st Race
The Bike could have been set up better with the jetting etc but with my dad not thare i just kept it on the safe side just incase,
The Race went rather well and i got a not to bad start but due to being out with big bikes it ment i got nailed upto the 1st corner and also down the back straight to Railway.
Every Lap i was getting quicker and quicker and i was having a little battle with Mark Ward on his Suzuki GSXR1000 and also Derek Mclaughlin on his 250,on Lap 6 the last lap due to a red flag i put in my quickest lap time of a 1:03:662,Still about half a second from what i can do but it was enought o be 1st 250 home and also finishing 10th overall.

2nd Race
One of best races of 2007 as my dad just arrived,i down jetted the bike and altered the gearing slightly.I got a not to bad start but Ian Morrel past me on the brakes going into railway as my bike is murder on the brakes thaere due to suspension problems that we couldnt clear,Down the back straight i tried to draft him but his bike is quicker than mines slightly, but i got past him going through esse's 1 ,And this was my passing move for the next 2 laps as he kept passing me using his power down that back straight and i had to go past again on the corners.Eventualy on about Lap 5 or 6 i managed to break the other 250s due to traffic of big bikes which i got passed as quick as possible and off i went after Marti Brown who was in 7th I put in a few quick lap times one including a new Personal Best of a 1:02:837 on lap 7,By the last lap i caught up with him and new i had to stay close going into the twisty bits and i done just that as by the final chicane (hanahs) there was a back marker and i choose the right way and i just marginly beat him So a good 7th place to impress the dad as he went away to watch round the back of the track for a change.

Sunday
1st Race
I Lost the time sheet for this one somehow :(" src="http://s.bebo.com/img/smiley_grrr.gif"
But i finished 6th overall only being 4 Suzuki Gsxr 1000s and the 600 of greame banfield,Cant realy remeber this race but it was a realy good race with Ian Morrel all the way,by the end i was 4secs in front of him, quickest lap was only a 1:03:4!!

2nd Race
INTER-CLUB RACE
This was the race i wanted to do well in,my dad bought me a new back tyre and it went realy well but i got stuck behind a 600 of robert woods i think,But once i got passed him it was an uphill strugggle to catch garfield and the other lads he was battling with but this race helped me to find my pace for the last race of the day in the open class, By this pint im absolutly knackered but i was still able to get down to a good 1:03:3 and finished about 17th overall ish out of 30 riders from different classes.

Race 3
2nd Open Class Race
I remeber getting an absolute flyer of a start and i could see torquil at railway it was that good
But for the 1st 3 or 4 laps i had a massive lead over the other 250 but i was stuck doing rubbish times until the 250 of ian morrel came past and i got my finger out as i got down to an ever better time of 1:02:784 which my dad gave the target to do this so i was chuffed, and i also got 7th overall in the race so top 10 again made it a realy good weekend,But being first 250 home in each race made the weeekend one to remeber as that ment no 250 has beaten me at east fortune in 2007.

Well for now i have to go but il keep you posted on next years plans.
