East Fortune Sept 15th/16th
Hey again people time for another Report!!
Well this month i was at east fortune for the last round of the Melville championship.
As usual i was out with the formula Melville class with all the big super bikes,with the addition of Kirk Jamison and Barry Davidson on his 250!! who was my competition for the weekend for 1st 250

Saturday

Saturday started off wet in morning practice and qualifying but it was soon to dry up for the 2 races.
I managed to qualify in 5th place but i wasn’t to bothered where i qualified as long as i kept the bike rubber side down 5th still meant i got onto the front row though but well into the one side .

1st Race from what i can remember i got a really duff start with me pulling a wee wheelie off line but i still somehow managed to stay 5th into 1st corner. going down back straight i went back into 6th and that's where i remained the whole race as i couldn't really get the extra wee ooomfff over the bike big of Garry Hamilton,but i was 6.2 secs ahead of Barry Davidson in 7th who for a few laps was passing me and in front but i managed to pass him and break him a little bit and i just kept pulling away .So 6th wasn’t to shabby,and my fastest lap was quicker than the 3 guys in front of me got down to 1:03:775!!!
The 2nd race was a much better race for me as i was still 5th into 1st corner and 6th by end of 1st straight. Due to big bikes taking Mick out of me in straight line .So i knew i could only do my best!!! but i had a really good race with Barry Davidson,Now all year I’ve never been beat my another 250 at east fortune and that wasn’t going to change today he did pull about a 2 sec gap on me due to him putting in a time I’ve never done before,but i got my finger out and i caught him up and passed him through railway but he then blasted back past down straight as his bike is a heck of alot quicker but i got him back down at hairpin and i put in my best ever lap round East fortune to hold him off and also catch Garry Hamilton in 5th but was 0.049 to far back which is
<------------------------------------------------->
That much nearly
But my quickest lap was 1:03:009 which is only
<--->
that much away from me getting to my target of a 1:02 lap on a 250 round east fortune!!!!

The two 6th places were also good enough for me to clinch 2nd place in both the open and club championships

Sundays racing got canceled due to EXTREME RAIN!!!!
So after my praying for rain i got too much and they called it off,the Steve Hislop race was meant to be last race on Sunday and my lap time was good enough to get on grid,i think i was drawn out in 19th pos on grid out of 40 riders so i would have been the only 2 stroke out there,and if it was wet you never know what could have happened,

But next meeting is going to now be the NEMCRC meeting on the 13th and 14th October at East fortune,i was going to go to Cadwell but short in funds means its going to be here,i get a half price entry as well due to credit so should be fun,Web site is in middle of being updated and should be up and running next Tuesday.
